Twisted Yoga & Barre is excited to begin our 4th season of SUP Yoga & BARREboard.
Twisted Yoga & Barre SUP & Barre Board Classes are traditional Yoga and Fitness Core classes taught on the water on floating boards. Your mat is a Stand Up Paddleboard; the world is your studio and all of the elements have been invited: Sun, Wind, Water and Earth. The continuous challenge to balance, the instant instability created by the elements and weight shifts, require complete focus so you can ground to the board while afloat.
Change is the only constant in life. On the water we learn to flow and enjoy the ride.
Classes are approximatly 60 minutes and we provide you with all the equipment. All you have to bring is an open mind and heart!
Clients who maintain a monthly membership or class package to the studio receive special loyalty pricing.

Do I need to know how to swim?
We do ask that you are comfortable in the water and are able to swim. You are given PFD.
What to wear:
Dress to get wet! Opt for synthetic fabrics that will dry fast and not become heavy when wet. Sunglasses, hats are fine but only if they’re tethered to you. All other personal belongings like bags, purses, towels and shoes can be left on land.
Will I get wet?
Yes. Expect to take a swim or two. It’s part of the fun!
Class cancellations due to strong weather sometimes occur – and the instructor makes that call two hours before scheduled class time. In the event of a cancellation, you will be contacted via txt or email. Classes are not cancelled for “chance of rain” weather predictions. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a rain check to reschedule for another date of your choice.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled class.
Do I need to know how to paddle?
No. And you will surprise yourself how quickly you learn how to stand up on your board, paddle in a straight line as well as turn your board. Just paddling your board is an excellent workout. You’ll also find the progression of yoga and balance techniques you learn will get you very comfortable on your board.
This still sounds very advanced. I’m still not sure about this..
As adults, it can be very intimidating to try something totally new. But putting yourself into an unfamiliar setting, like the lake, and introducing a challenge, like S.U.P Yoga, only helps us to grow.
